The group had the opportunity to walk the red carpet, meet Padddington and even talk to Prince William. They also presented him with a BISS Panda to take home as a present for Prince George!
The five students were selected as winners of the Design a New Outfit for Paddington Competition, take a look at their winning entries by following the link at the bottom of this blog post.
Mr Foyle was very proud of the students and how they represented the school on the evening:
“It was a surreal experience, meeting Paddington and future King on the same afternoon! The students though took it in their stride and I was very proud of the way they conducted themselves. A number of people commented on their exemplary behaviour and the way they confidently and clearly spoke to HRH the Duke of Cambridge was a delight to watch – they represented the school beautifully.”
And what did the children think of meeting Prince William...
Carys Locke, 4S
"It was awesome and funny. Meeting the Duke of Cambridge was the best part and something I will always remember for the rest of my life. Giving the Panda for Prince George was a bit naughty but he loved it and I know George will love it too."
Mia Lawler, 2S
"The movie was really funny and I liked when Paddington used the toothbrushes to clean his ears – Yuck!"
Alexandra Boukia-Iskov, 6P
"I was so proud my picture got chosen and I was one of only 5 children to go to this Premiere. It was a great night and I loved seeing Prince William and the movie was really funny."
Leila MacKenzie, 6P
"It was a really exciting night – we got to walk the red carpet, speak to a prince, watch a really funny movie, eat delicious cakes and get our photos taken! Pretty Cool! We also got a goody bag to take home with a Paddington Bear and jars of marmalade."
Yuna Goto, 5I
“I was very excited because I met Prince William! Before he came I kept thinking other people arriving were him, so when I finally saw him I realised it was him from a YouTube clip of him visiting Japan that my mum showed me (even though he looked really different – he was much taller!). It was really funny in the film when Paddington Bear was woken up by Mr Brown as he was confused and thought he was God! The evening made me feel happy because it was such fun.”
