How long have you been working at BISS Puxi? This is my fourth year at BISS Puxi.
What do you enjoy about working here? The best part of my job is seeing the incredible amount of progress the children make from August to June. Throughout the year they learn so much and it makes me feel very proud to be a part of that process.
What made you want to move to Shanghai? After teaching in Scotland for three years I wanted a new adventure! The Far East was somewhere that had always fascinated me and I wanted to live in a completely different culture and setting. Shanghai in particular is a great place to be based for travelling throughout Asia.
What is your favourite part of Shanghai? The Pudong skyline never gets tiring. Every time I go there I get so much energy from the city lights and I think it is one of the best skylines in the world!
What is the one thing you can't live without? I can't live without my wonderful friends who I have met in Shanghai! They make living here a fascinating and wonderful experience and I feel so lucky to have them in my life.
Where are you from and what do you miss from home? I am from Livingston in Scotland, which is just outside the capital, Edinburgh. I really miss my family from home and in particular my elder brother. However every summer I get to enjoy the Edinburgh festival with them and we get the opportunity to make up for lost time.
