Our Year 13 students celebrating their final day in school before their exams start next Monday
We are proud to announce that our Year 13 students this year have been offered places by top universities in popular higher education destination countries such as the UK, USA, Hong Kong, and Singapore. These universities include: Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial, Kings, Warwick, Durham, St. Andrews and many others in the UK; Duke, Middlebury, Carnegie-Mellon, University of Washington, UCLA, UC San Diego, Smith, Mount Holyoke, University of Texas-Austin, and others in the USA, as well as all three premier universities in Hong Kong: HKU, HKUST, CUHK, and the National University of Singapore.
In addition to those four destination countries, some students are returning to their homes in Europe to pursue higher education, some others will report for military service, and others will take a Gap Year—an increasingly popular option, which is a time to reflect and involve oneself in public service and other activities outside the classroom before continuing on to university.
What our Year 13 students’ destinations show is that there is no single profile of a BISS Puxi student, and their varied interests and aspirations are well supported.
With excellent IB results, structured experiences such as the Creativity, Action & Service (CAS) module of the IB Diploma Programme and the International Award, and opportunities for participation in sports, drama, Model UN, and a multitude of other extracurricular activities, our students build strong profiles that enable them to have excellent options after they leave BISS Puxi.
I wish our Year 13 students the best as they prepare to sit for their final IB examinations. It has been a real pleasure working with this class of 2015.
