As it is my last days at BISS Puxi, I would just like to say thank you to Mr Foyle for providing me with my first headship and the wonderful opportunity to learn so much from him and Stuart White who have passed onto me invaluable knowledge and skills needed to continue the success of BISS Puxi. I would also like to thank the Secondary team who have so ably and patiently supported me and advised me.
Thankfully they are all very much continuing in and around the school except for the huge loss of the departing Jane White who has done such a marvellous work in the IB Academy. Thankfully Andy Joy is an experienced Head of the IB Academy and has been in the role previously at our school, so will continue the great work they have both helped to build.
Andrew Lancaster is taking over from me with the natural leadership he has brought to developing Key Stage 3 and therefore the secondary school is in great hands. Assisting Andrew with his continued passion to help students is Paul Kelly, and Samantha Rae is rightly taking the role of Deputy Head of Primary. Paul and Sam, along with Joseph Westwood have provided invaluable perspective and expertise to help the school run as smoothly as possible in the last few years and I thank them all hugely. With the addition of Fiona McConnon this year, languages are leaping forward across Primary and Secondary and I am proud to have been able to work with them all.
The heartbeat of the secondary school is our dedicated teachers who engage and motivate our wonderful students and I wish you all well in continuing to thrive and provide the warm welcome, exciting experiences and academic results we all truly desire. Thank you to the BISS Puxi community whether you are here next year or moving on like me, I wish you all well for the future.
- Chris Share, Head of Secondary
