Teachers to Grow Moustaches in Aid of Students’ Tanzania Trip

24 September 2015

You may notice a change in the appearance of some BISS Puxi teachers over the next few weeks, but it will all be for a good cause.

Students that raise money as part of their tutor group will have the power to nominate teachers who have volunteered to grow a specific style of ’tache’. This project is yet another fundraising initiative from the students visiting Tanzania in November.

Weird and wonderful designs are highly encouraged, such as a handlebar, or the famous Tom Selleck style moustache.

Teachers will start to grow their facial hair designs over the Golden Week holiday with the big reveal when school returns after the break. For those teachers lacking in facial hair, there will also be some stuck-on versions too, so get ready for some great surprises on Wednesday 7 October.

Tutor groups will be raising money over the next week and have already started making plans for which teacher they want to wear their designer ‘tache!

The pupils going on the Tanzania Expedition are hoping to raise a total of 100,000 RMB and fundraisers like this will help them to achieve that target before we depart in two months’ time.
