Created in September in 2015, the choir took part in the Shanghai New Year Music Festival which featured a range of different ensembles from secondary schools around the Shanghai area.

The choir performed ‘The Rhythm of Life’ to an audience of around 500 people at the concert hall and overcame their nerves of performing in such a prestigious venue to produce a confident rendition of the song. Victoria Sze from Year 13 also performed a Bach Cello Suite as a solo, following a performance by professional concert pianist, Patrick Hemmerle. Victoria rose to the occasion and performed her piece like a true professional.

The music department was delighted to be able to involve students in this event and look forward to participating in future festivals and concerts.
