It’s Great to Be Back

06 January 2016

I can’t believe that it’s already 2016 and certainly I'm left answering, where does the time go?

  • First Day Back of School

New Year is a time for new beginnings and we are pleased to welcome new families to the BISS Puxi community. Many of them joined us on Tuesday at our orientation session and they took the chance to explore our impressive learning environment and get to know our talented staff. I was pleased to hear from some of our new parents that the ‘Warm Welcome’ of our admissions, teaching and support staff has impressed them already. This is good news!

We pride ourselves on the care we take of the children as well as the educational experience we offer. The result is that the children are settled and happy, and so enjoy learning and make great progress. Educational research indicates this and I suspect every parent also knows it to be true.

On Wednesday, it was a joy to welcome back our returning children. They were full of stories of their exciting holidays and it made me quite envious. What a well-travelled group they are! But in spite of their exciting lives, they are all pleased to be back, looking forward to new learning, familiar routines and getting to meet up with friends.

New topics are just beginning in each year group and I heard from them how their interests and enthusiasms have been ignited. They are looking forward to the exciting experiences in store.

And so another term begins…..

Best wishes to you all for a happy and prosperous 2016!

Eleanor Jess, Head of Primary
