15 June 2016

On Tuesday, a group of students were lucky enough to be invited to the Queen’s Birthday Party which was hosted by the British Consulate in Shanghai.

It was located in the grounds of the glamourous Intercontinental Hotel in the former French Concession. The children were able to meet a range of characters from Alice in Wonderland, explore Alice’s maze and watch a remarkable magician who performed some unforgettable tricks.

Finally, the students took part in a record breaking attempt for the biggest cream tea party in the world. This involved eating a scone with jam and clotted cream and drinking some British tea.

Amazingly, the record was beaten and the students are all now official world record holders!
