Swimming Report

16 February 2017

A very big round of applause for all the swimmers who took part in the Dulwich Minhang Long Course swim meet on Saturday. Seeing such an incredible impact our team made at our first long course meet this year with a new difficult environment of a 50m pool.

This has set the bar high for the following swim meets. Breath taking starts, turns and finishes lead our school to achieving a marvellous 3rd place overall. It’s astonishing seeing how remarkable all the swimmers did after a long Chinese New Year break. As usual, swimmers achieved new personal bests and obtaining heat winners and medals. Kevin Wang accomplished a 37.09 in a 50m Freestyle was certainly one of the biggest highlights of the competition, earning the boys 8&under first place. Other overall age group winners were Matthew Yick who came 2nd 9-10yr boys and Amelie Ingman who came 3rd 13-14yr girls. This is all shown through dedication in practice and determination.

Thank you to all the supporting parents and team mates. Ms Yardy, our coach helped advise and support all the swimmers before and after each race. She has shown a tremendous devotion to our team and helping our swimmers achieve the best they possibly can. Well done everyone and congratulations!

 Amelie Ingman, Girls Vice Captain
