The children had a wonderful time experiencing an interactive version of The Qingming Scroll, an ancient Chinese scroll which captures the daily life of people in Kaifeng and their landscape during the Song Dynasty.

Pupils made sketches and observations of the scroll and really enjoyed watching it come to life. In class sessions to prepare for the trip, the children thought about what they could see while studying a replica, although nothing prepared them for the 30 times larger interactive version! A fantastic day out was had by all, and the observations garnered will stimulate many fascinating discussion points in future lessons.
