In our Early Years outdoor space, the cubs have been busy constructing rivers in the sand, shopping at the ice-cream parlour and digging to see how deep the sand pit goes.
Putting their three dimensional shape knowledge to the test, the children have been getting resourceful creating spheres, cylinders and cubes with the sand and exploring the objects around them for appropriate moulds to create their three dimensional shapes.
Why not continue this learning at home and see just how far the children’s imaginations can take you? Try a shape hunt in your local area or around your house. What 3D shapes can you find in your garden or complex? Enjoy the magic that Spring and adventure brings.
