Our Student Leadership Programme

We are excited to have appointed our Secondary Student Leaders. These students will be taking part in our Student Leadership Programme and will represent our school in different areas.

leadership

I have thoroughly enjoyed receiving the applications and would like to share some excerpts of some of the applications:

“Our school motto is to ‘Be ambitious’. Ambition is different for everyone, and as a secondary school student my ambition is to create a voice for BISS students, and to train up the confidence every leader should have.” Vera Woo 8S

“Even though I am still a learner, I have experienced lots of opportunities that this school has offered me and now I want to help others to have the same chances to improve themselves into a more capable students and a more ambitious person, who is willing to achieve more and more. I believe that small changes could make a big difference in real life.“ Jiwon Choi 9S

“At BISS, our ethos is to be ambitious, curious and dedicated students. As such, I hope to continue to support the ethos by introducing this idea to new students. I would promote the wonderful programmes we have at school. I hope to encourage many more new students at BISS because I know what it’s like to start at a new school. Even though it can be daunting, it can also be enjoyable.” Charlotte Chen 8B

“Each time my teachers helped me out whenever I faced a challenge was like planting a seed in me; motivating me to become someone who is helpful and supportive. Just like how my teachers inspired me, I would like to take this chance to be a role model and inspire others by showing them the process of supporting others can be fun and enjoyable too.” Eva Lin 11B

“I want to make a difference. I believe the student leader role is my best chance to prove to others and myself that I can make a difference no matter how big or small. Being a student leader means that you need to take on a lot of responsibilities because you will need to be a role model in front of other students, and you must lead by example.” Tevin Zhou 7B

“Many people have helped me adjust to BISS PUXI such as the teachers and the students and now I feel the need to give back and help others. I have changed a lot during my year in BISS and wouldn’t be who I am today without their help and support and I couldn’t be happier.” Laura Petiot 11B
