LEARNING THEME: CELEBRATIONS
THE BIG QUESTION: WHY DO WE CELEBRATE?
We have looked at lots of different kinds of celebrations, from birthdays and Christmas to Halloween, weddings and Chinese New Year. We have thought about the range of things we do to celebrate; give gifts, have a party, eat special food, light candles. This week we will be thinking about planning our own class celebration. We will need a reason to celebrate and to decide together how we should do it. There will be lots of speaking, listening and decision making to do to make sure everyone enjoys the celebration.
THE WORLD
Celebrations form part of our family customs and traditions and it is a great way to share our experiences with friends and see how we celebrate in the same and different ways. Please continue to let us know when you and your family have a special celebration.
