  • Back to school: we are looking forward to welcoming all our  classmates and families back to school on Tuesday 9 January! Have a lovely holiday, relax, celebrate, stay warm, happy and healthy. Merry Christmas from us all.

As children return from their holiday break, we will discuss what they did in their holidays and write a recount. In their recounts the focus will be on past tense verbs.  They will also continue with answering comprehension questions about a text.

As part of this term’s theme ‘We Are What We Eat” children will learn that food is a basic requirement of life. Children will answer questions like: what types of foods do you like/dislike?  What meals do we usually eat during the day?  How do you feel when it is nearly lunchtime or other times when you need some food? We will discuss the children’s answers and explain that our bodies need food to work.

Food, healthy, like, dislike, why, What, Food, body, meals, meat, vegetables

This term our new PSHCE / well-being program will begin.  The first core value covered is collaboration.  This is the ability to work constructively with others, and children will learn to negotiate, to resolve conflicts, and to support agreed solutions. In doing so, they will strengthen their sense of teamwork and realize where they lack certain skills; which they can later hone.

Collaboration, groups, teamwork, skills

Deze week kijken we terug naar de hoogtepunten van 2017.    We bespreken feesttradities met Oud en Nieuw en schrijven onze wensen neer voor 2018.
