Victoria Sze, Year 11

Hi, I’m Victoria, I’m a year 11 student and this is my third year at BISS Puxi. There are a lot of things you can do in our school, for example, reading books in the library or practising instruments in the music rooms.

I normally go to the library and study for tests. My favourite thing about the school is the academic environment, whenever you have any questions, the teachers are happy to help you or you can find the answer yourself in the Learning Resource Centre.

One of the perks of being a new student is that you will get a ‘buddy’ for the first week of school and he or she will show you around the school and introduce you to new friends. Once you are comfortable with other students, you will find yourself having just as much as the students who have been here longer.

Other than studying, our school also offers a huge range of extra-curricular activities, from sports to academic.

As BISS Puxi is an international school, you will be able to meet students from lots of different nationalities. By meeting them, you experience different cultures and learn how to look at things from a different perspective. I have improved my learning and understanding by communicating with other people from different background - they might give you some ideas that you wouldn’t otherwise come up with.

Although the rules in the school are pretty strict, I believe having discipline will turn students into more mature and successful people.
