Nathaniel James Brown

Head of Computing Science

Nathaniel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education from the Queensland University of Technology. He worked in the IT industry for a number of years as a programmer and systems administrator before becoming a teacher. Nathaniel has run various workshops on Arduinos and Robotics, and has also published an app on the Play Store.

 

Nathaniel has lived in China for over seven years and was previously the Head of Computing at The British School of Beijing. He is now looking forward to seeing how Shanghai is different from Beijing.

Nathaniel has a wife who is a teacher in Early Years, and two children. He enjoys travelling and learning Chinese. In his free time he likes to play European board games and write software using the latest technology. His current project is to write games for young children that are fun and educational.
