Nicholas graduated from Leeds University in 2005 with a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Philosophy, specializing in the Philosophy of Science and Pure Mathematics. He began his career working as an auditor for an accountancy firm in London but soon realized his passions lay elsewhere. He completed his PGCE course at Goldsmiths College, University of London and worked for six years teaching in two different London schools where he developed an investigative approach to teaching mathematics. His most recent job before coming to BISS was working for three years as a mathematics teacher at an international school in Malawi, Africa.
After University Nicholas spent time cycling through France and Italy working on organic farms, combining two of his biggest passions; cycling and food. He has spent many of his summer holidays since cycling major climbs in the Pyrenees, Alps, and Rocky Mountains. Traveling has always been a big interest of Nicholas’ and has found working internationally to be a great inspiration for teaching and learning.
