Collège Champittet is a Catholic private school and the education we provide is based on Christian values. Our Collège has a Catholic chaplaincy allowing Catholic students to deepen their faith and receive the sacraments of Christian life.

  • Chappelle

The various activities of our Catholic private school's chaplaincy are aimed primarily at Catholic children but are open to any children no matter their religion, or because they want to better understand the Christian reality or prepare for baptism. Catechesism courses reflect this reality and enrich the relationship between children with respect for the cultural and religious diversity of the school.

During their time at our Catholic private school, Catholic students take part in Catechesism which represents a deepening of Christian life and requires personal involvement from participants. Other students follow Religious Cultures courses which explain the different world religions. These courses are fully part of the compulsory curriculum and are assessed as such.

On the occasion of celebrations or liturgical times, several masses are offered to students during the school year. All students enrolled in Catechesism attend these Masses. Students enrolled in Religious Culture may also participate in Masses after notifying their Dean.

Preparation for the sacraments (Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation), as part of our school, is of great importance and deeply contributes to the spiritual development of our students.

Retreats are a time of discovery, sharing, friendship and prayer. Retreats enable participants to discover an important place of Christian faith. Like all the activities of the chaplaincy, retreats are open to all students whether they are enrolled in Catechesis, or in Religious Culture courses. Previous retreats took place in Rome, London, Fatima or Lourdes.
