Well its June already; our last month of the academic year. It has been a busy and productive year, now with only 3 weeks to go. Due to a holiday in English schools Year 11, 12 and 13 got a week off from examinations this week. It gives them a chance to do some concentrated revision for their last few exams. Students will begin to finish these starting next week and start to think about the next steps in life. Year 13 have their graduation next week which allows us to celebrate their 2 or 3 years with us and think ahead to their excellent A Level results that they will receive in August. I was proof reading the graduation programme this week with Mr Byrne and it is great to see the list of the wide range of excellent universities they plan to go onto in the autumn.
The pause in examinations for some year groups allows us to use the auditorium for exams for Year 9 and 10. As well as use assessments on their year’s work it is a great opportunity to practice their exams in the same location as their real ones in one or two years time.
