Year 1-6 Maths workshop for parents

22 January 2018

Dear Parents,

I would like to remind you that I will be delivering a Maths workshop for parents of children in years 1 to 6 in the Parents’ Lounge on Friday 26th January at 14:15. The workshop will focus on the different methods that the children are taught for adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in school. This will link to the school’s calculation policy which can be found on the school website. We will also look at the different resources that are used when solving problems in Maths. The aim of the workshop is to give parents a better understanding of how Maths is taught at BIS and the methods that are used when doing this. If you have any questions about the way in which your child learns Maths then this would be a good opportunity to get them answered.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Kind regards,

James Callan, Year 6 Teacher and Maths Coordinator
