2018 HAC Maths Olympiad

On Saturday 3 February 2018, Wellspring International Bilingual School hosted the 2018 Maths Olympiad competition. Twelve schools in Hanoi participated in the exciting event which consisted of 5 rounds of fun and challenging mathematical activities.

Our students made us so very proud at this competition. They attempted all the rounds with enthusiasm, dedication and perseverance and they showed fantastic team spirit. They also achieved incredibly well.

Our junior teams (out of 21 junior teams participating) were both positioned in the top 5!
3rd place went to BIS #1 and and 5th place went to BIS #2.
 
Our senior teams (out of 24 senior teams participating were positioned as follows:

5th place went to BIS #1 and 12th place went to BIS #2.
 
Together, the four teams worked so consistently hard and I am absolutely delighted to announce that British International School Hanoi came 2nd place overall across the whole competition!

I would like to say a huge thank you and very well done to all our students for their participation, hard work, their energy and their impeccable behaviour; they really did do us proud. 

I would also like to thank the members of Maths staff who supported them with me on Saturday, Mr Stewart Russell and Ms Hang.
