Tomorrow is Graduation Day at BIS Hanoi for our Year 13 IBDP students. Mr Airdrie and the Marketing team have planned a lovely ceremony, which will be held at the Almaz, opposite the school.
Parents and students of Year 13 will attend and be supported by their teachers. It is a wonderful occasion to reflect on the happy years the children have spent with us. Their academic achievements will be recognised but of equal importance on the day will be the stories we will share together about the whole BIS Hanoi experience. The Year 13 children have provided us with memorable performances in music and sport. They have amazed us with their commitment to the International Award and they have given incredible support to community service locally and internationally. Wherever they have visited, they have made friends, whilst representing our core values with distinction. I am sure you will join me in wishing them all the best for a very special day.
The Be Ambitious students of BIS Hanoi
In today’s assembly, Ms Bradford and the students hosted a Green Week assembly. It was thought provoking and a timely reminder that we all need to be active in preserving our environment.
There was also an excellent presentation from the students who traveled to Tanzania in February. The shared images, stories and video of their amazing trip to Nord Anglia’s global classroom in Tanzania. At the end of the presentation, Mr Forster announced there would be twenty places available for students who would like to visit Tanzania in January 2019. Students should contact Mr Forster or Ms Ngoc, the secondary assistant, if they want to apply for the trip.
There was also an opportunity to reward our most ambitious students. Since April, they have produced outstanding work in the World Scholar’s Cup. The have demonstrated academic ambition in French, English and Mathematics. They have found inspiration in coding and graphic design and excelled in service to the community. In total, twenty five students received an award.
