Dear Parents,

This week, I was lucky to be able to attend a full rehearsal of the Year 6 Production, ‘Pirates of the Curry Bean’. The performance was outstanding, despite having yet another full week of rehearsals to go! The tale is one of adventure on the high seas with menacing pirates and a plethora of interesting characters. I would recommend that you all come to see the actual performance which will be held next Thursday at 5:30pm.

Another event this week, the Talk4Writing drop-in session for parents, was very well-attended. The Talk4Writing initiative was introduced a couple of years ago at BIS Hanoi and has proved to be an excellent way for our young learners to formulate stories through the rehearsal of set texts. This has been further developed this year to include factual writing. Thank you to all those who attended the sessions.

Tanzania 2019 5

At BIS Hanoi, we firmly believe in preparing our students to make a difference globally. With this in mind, I invite you to access the link here to find out about our BIS adventurers who are currently in Tanzania. The purpose of the expedition is to help improve life for families through participation in activities such as building a goat shed, providing a smokeless stove on which to cook food and installing solar lighting. Our students benefit tremendously from the experience too as they are working collaboratively with other Nord Anglia Students from around the world.
