In the Secondary Assembly this morning, Mr Toner reminded us all about online safety, cyberbullying and fake news which is circulated via the internet. You may wish to read more about these very important issues in Mr Trett’s article.
Overall health and well-being at school is very important. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we welcomed our annual Health and Safety Audit from a representative from our Regional Nord Anglia Education Team and a fellow Principal. They scrutinised Health and Safety policies, looked at safety in classrooms, outdoor areas, canteen kitchens and offices before issuing us with a detailed report. They were very pleased with the overall safety on the campus and our increasing culture of ensuring the campuses are as safe as possible. Some minor recommendations have been made which will be acted upon over the following weeks.
One highlight this week was my visit to the Phase 3 Exhibition which was a showcase of learning in Year 5 and 6. Enthusiastic children demonstrated their skills and knowledge about learning across all curricular areas including public speaking, mathematics, science and music.
