Dear Parents,

Our library is a favourite place in school for many students and teachers especially during Book Week. This week, stories were brought to life for our secondary students through fun events ranging from Harry Potter quizzes to book character analysis and roving reading challenges. The reading focus will continue next week.

But, what happens in our library at nighttime? A good question to ask our Year 3 students who bravely took the challenge of sleeping amongst the book shelves for their annual sleepover on Thursday evening. Year 3 is the first time, in our school programme of residential trips, when we organise an opportunity for children to spend a night away from home. As well as being a very enjoyable occasion, children learn to be a little more independent and bond with friends from other classes.

Our Primary students are celebrating many achievements in Phuket this week at the Under 11s FOBISIA tournament. Competing against 7 other schools from China, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Malaysia and Ho Chi Minh is providing super challenges for our students however they are still achieving amazing results and will be once again returning with a plethora of medals. The competition continues this weekend but we look forward to hearing more on Monday when the children return.
