We are very happy that Green Week has increased awareness of environmental activities and what our young people can do to make a difference!

In Secondary Green Week, students from Years 7 and 9 have been taking part in gardening activities with their science teacher and Mr. Halpin. Some classes got to work with EYC students helping to weed, dig and plant their garden with flowers and vegetables. We also worked in the BIS garden with our gardener Mrs. Luong, where we planted basil plants and fruit trees. During tutor time, students have been discussing the amazing things that people are doing to protect our planet. We ended the week with an assembly to tell the students and teachers about our Green activities, including a visiting speaker from the charity Keep Hanoi Clean.

Next year BIS Hanoi will be a registered EcoSchool which means we will be part of an international network of 57 different countries aiming to make our school and local environment a more sustainable place.

We are very happy that Green Week has increased awareness of environmental activities and what our young people can do to make a difference!
