The What I am Grateful for challenge is an idea that came from the Pobble 25 non-screen activities that were posted on our school social media platforms. The primary and Key Stage 3 leaders thought that it would be an excellent idea to get all members of our school community to take part to consider what they are truly grateful for during this unprecedented pandemic situation.

By taking time to reflect on our own lives, we realise how truly lucky we are to have our friends, family, technology and key healthcare and service workers helping us to get through this crisis. The challenge has made people appreciate what they have and not to take it for granted.

We were very pleased with the participation from children in EYC, Primary and KS3, up to Y9. You will notice lots of your teachers and teaching assistants who also enjoyed taking part and sharing their gratitude.

We will take the keywords and phrases that came up and make a whole school display to acknowledge the What I am Grateful Challenge. That way, when members of the school community walk past it, they will remember to appreciate everything they have in their lives.
