Stephanie graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London in 2010. Following her degree, she progressed from classroom teacher to Head of Faculty overseeing the creative subjects in a secondary school on the outskirts of London. Stephanie set up Art Textiles which proved to be a highly successful course at the school. She was also involved and led several international trips including forging links with and visiting a partnership school in Zanzibar, Tanzania and also had oversight of the Duke of Edinburgh award.
As a classroom practitioner Stephanie is enthusiastic and passionate about her subject. She has a keen interest in the Growth Mindset strategy which encourages students to be resilient learners and promotes the importance of problem solving and the understanding that occasional failure supports growth.
Outside of school Stephanie is a keen netballer and is happy to get involved in a number of sports both team and individual. She is an eager crafter- whether that be using fabric, clay, paint or food to name but a few. She has travelled extensively throughout Asia and Europe and is always keen to bring these types of external influences into her teaching.
