Our dedicated University Guidance Counsellor, Mr Bernd Widemann, and our Guidance Counsellor, Mr Matthew Greenwood, and the whole team work with students throughout the school to prepare them for this important next step. Initially, our counsellors and teachers work together to ensure students have the life skills to thrive and support their personal and social development so that they know themselves and are able to use this learning to make sound decisions about their future.
Together with our International Baccalaureate (IB) Co-ordinator, Ms Gemma Archer, Mr Widemann then works with all students on an individual basis to help them choose their subjects for the IB Diploma Programme and then the university destination and programme which best suits them.
We also collaborate with more than 200 universities globally who visit the school to introduce themselves and explain their offer to our students. Additionally, we arrange for external further education experts to visit for consultation sessions, advising students on university options and applications.
Together, this equips your child with the information they need to successfully continue their education.
