We said a sad goodbye to Year 13 today, with a surprise assembly to thank them and wish the well. Although they still have some exams to come, and their formal graduation ceremony is next week, this was an opportunity for the whole secondary student body to show their appreciation and wish their peers well. Our biggest graduating class ever, I have no doubt they will also surpass all expectations in their A levels.

The staff put together a special farewell video for them, which is available to view here:
It’s been a busy week of exams, and of parents evenings with year 8 and year 9 parents meeting with teachers on Tuesday and Thursday respectively. On Thursday we also hosted our first ever Grandparents’ Day. It was wonderful to see the different generations of families coming together. Students from primary and secondary performed songs and readings and then had lunch with their families. It reminds us all of the importance that family plays in all of our lives. There are times when we argue and fall out, but the love that binds a family together never disappears.

We also welcomed lots of prospective parents to the school for open day, and they had a chance to tour round. We are constantly striving to grow so that we can bring in even more teaching expertise and provide even greater opportunities for all of the young people here.

Some of our sixth form students spoke to parents and grandparents, and Phat said that each year, the standard of education and the opportunities afforded the students improve. Long may that continue.

Have a wonderful weekend.
