With Mr Rudin being away on the Year 9 trip, I have been given the honour of writing this week’s Hub article.
With the trips in progress as I write this, the students are nearly all enjoying and adventure outside of Saigon on one of the annual BVIS residential trips.
Year 7 are in Mui Ne taking part in all sorts of fantastic activities from sand sliding on the infamous sand dunes to Team Building exercises with inflatables. They even took part in BVIS’ first Mui Ne Masterchef competition which was enjoyed by all.
Year 8 have been to the beautiful and scenic Dalat to enjoy their residential trip. They have completed a number of great activities including a high ropes course and abseiling. Mr Gunn has reported back that all students are thoroughly enjoying themselves and really fully engaging in the activities.
Year 9 have been spending their last few days up the wonderful and wildlife filled region of Bao Loc/Madagui. They have taken part in many different activities from lake based team building to abseiling to downhill carting! Mr Rudin has even found his ukulele to entertain all the students!
Year 10 meanwhile have spent their trip on our only international residential trip of the week in Cambodia. They have taken part in many cultural activities and been to see the World Heritage site of Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. They also found the time to take part in a special Cambodian cooking class!
Whilst these trips have taken place for students in years 7-10, the rest of Secondary (years 11-13) have had their important and nerve-racking mock exams. These exams are designed to give the students much needed practice so that they are prepared and ready for the summer exams when they will be sitting IGCSEs as well as AS and A level qualifications. Good luck to you all!
