Dear Families,
The campus is buzzing once again with the little ones on campus under the CAI exemption. We are learning quite a bit from our students arriving back on campus and are counting down the days to where we will be able to have everyone back on campus.
Check out the important information below. My video update is back!

Swimming Gala November 14th-21st
The NAE Global Sports Competition continues with the Swimming Gala, November 14th until November 21st!
Students and teachers have the opportunity to compete in up to 4 events (listed in the photo).
Since we cannot use our pool at CDS based on Covid restrictions, swimmers must use a 25m pool they can gain access to.
After your race, submit your time to this form: NAE Virtual Swimming Gala Time Submission Form
You will complete one form per event you compete in. (If you swim in three events, you will complete and submit the form three different times).
Only one submission is needed per relay team (see instructions in the form).
If you have any questions, please email Coach Luber or Coach Pearson.

Reopening update:
We are anxiously looking forward to reopening campus and have been working on revising our reopening plan based on the protocols approved by the Ministry of Health and MEP. Currently we are reviewing our face to face protocols in terms of how the Middle and High School houses will be on campus. We will be keeping our same daily block schedule alternating A and E days. Students will have designated days on campus to keep the semester as consistent as possible while maximizing their time on campus. Both houses will be able to be on campus 2 days a week and then will alternate a third day on campus between houses.
Once we have finalised our revised plan and have been approved to re-open, we will be holding parent meetings to go over the important pieces of the plan. Stay tuned!
Teacher Appreciation Drive Thru November 18th
This Wednesday will hold our teacher appreciation drive thru for students to come by and honk their appreciation for the hard work our teachers are doing in providing them a great virtual learning environment. We will end classes a bit early so students can get in their cars and head over to campus. The schedule is below.
November 18th schedule
E period 8:15-9:35
Break 9:35-9:55
F period 9:55-11:15

Thank you to all parents who have helped in making this a special day for our Secondary Teachers.
The Spirit of Giving
In the spirit of showing gratitude, we will create baskets of supplies for the Country Day School maintenance, cleaning, cafeteria, secretarial and security staff. We ask that each student bring in an item to fill the “gratitude baskets” to help show appreciation of the people who help us each day.
Please bring in the following items:
- Early Childhood - Rice & Beans
- Elementary - Non-perishable food (NOT rice & beans)
- Middle School - Soaps & detergents
- High School - Luxury snacks
As there are 38 maintenance, cleaning, cafeteria, secretarial and security staff members, it is very important that each student bring in an item so we can fill the baskets with supplies for each staff member.
Please be sure to send in your item before Friday, December 4. The highschool National Honor Society students will put the baskets together and deliver them to the staff! Thank you for your help in showing gratitude to the amazing staff who make our CDS experience possible!
