Middle School Behavior Plan and Reflection Forms
We are very excited to initiate a new behavior plan within the Middle School! Our plan centers student discipline directly on school principles, student accountability and reflection, and a preference for growth over punitive consequences. This will be accomplished by identifying, monitoring, and intervening in behavioral needs characterized as conduct, social-emotional, and academic needs.
Behavior and actions are rooted in living by or in violation of general principles. When faculty mentor or intervene on student behavior, it is guided by the following principles:
Be responsible: hands in work on time, getting to class with materials, complying with responsible use policy.
Be respectful: Not interrupting learning, following all instructions of adults with a good attitude, following classroom expectations, taking care of the property of yourself, others, and school.
Be Kind: Despite personal differences treat community and visitors with kindness, respect, and empathy.
Be honest: not cheating, lying, or taking things that are not yours.
Overall we are EXTREMELY excited as a faculty because of the active and holistic monitoring that examines mental health along with academic support. Students will be held accountable and required to reflect on their actions. We will be evaluating our program as the semester moves forward to continually improve our process. Thank you all for being a vital part of this process and helping our students grow!

Cell-phones in MS
This is a reminder that MS students are not allowed to have their cell phones on them during the school day. Students should place their cell phones in their lockers or have them turned off in their backpacks.
If teachers see students with their cell phones out, their phones will be turned into the office to be picked up at the end of the day.
Parents, if you need to contact your child, please call the office and refrain from calling or texting your child during the school day.
