Model UN Trip to Geneva

Future MUN participants, When I went to Geneva on the school trip, I did not know what was expected of me in the MUN conference, I did not know the rules or the set-up of the conference. In the end that did not matter. The school that hosted it, as well as the MUN teachers did very well to prepare us with the rules and the layout of how the conference in our councils would go. I ended the first day having contributed well and correctly as a delegate of the MUN as well as knowing exactly what I had to do and what was going on. Overall the point is that this MUN trip was a great experience and if you want to go but are worried that you will mess up or don’t know anything you should just go since there isn’t anything to be worried about.

This February the Grade 9 Model United Nations (MUN) students travelled to Switzerland for the Nord Anglia Regional Event, which brought together Nord Anglia students from across Europe and Russia.

While there, our students also had the opportunity to visit the “real” United Nations and the city of Geneva. Here’s what students had to say about the experience:

It was a very positive learning experience to watch our students grow as committee chairpersons and delegates. We are proud to say that four of our students received awards for their insightfulness and the depth of their debates at the NAE Model United Nations Regional Conference. Congratulations!
