Teachers at BIS are ambitious for themselves and others

Dear Parents,

At BIS, we recruit the very best teachers from the UK and International schools around the world. Our teachers are always ambitious for themselves and others and are lifelong learners. This Saturday, all our teachers will engage in an exciting Teach Meet held here at BIS. The theme of the day is to define and develop excellence in learning which is of course central to the success of our school. We will have several presentations, debates and 2 min wonders (sharing of great ideas), enabling some good quality dialogue and collaboration. I am really looking forward to hearing more from our highly skilled teachers tomorrow.

Following tomorrow’s Teach Meet, I will be flying back to the UK to attend the Nord Anglia Outstanding Teachers for Outstanding Schools recruitment event. As usual, a number of teachers will be leaving BIS Hanoi at the end of this year and therefore it is important to recruit new teaching staff early to ensure the best appointments.

Today, you should have received a pack of lucky money envelopes from our marketing team. I do hope you make use of these as we start the Tet celebrations. Unfortunately, attendance at the recruitment event means that I will miss our annual Tet performance here at BIS. However, I would like to extend an invitation to all parents to join our BIS Tet assembly on Tuesday at 1:45pm. This year promises performances from various year groups alongside a special dance from our one of our community partners, Hy Vong School for the Disabled.
