IGCSE Results

Our success in the IGCSE examinations reflects our high academic standards, outstanding teaching, and our students' hard work and commitment.

During Key Stage 4 (Year 10 - 11), our students work towards the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations in a number of subjects to provide them with a broad and challenging foundation for their future studies.

IGCSE Results 2021

All of our IGCSE students for 2021 have once again demonstrated exceptional success, both collectively and individually. In 2021, our students achieved incredible results, with 93 percent of students receiving A*-C grades and 62% of students earning A*-A grades across all subjects.

About IGCSE

Cambridge IGCSE, which stands for International General Certificate of Secondary Education, has become the world’s most popular international qualification for students aged 14-16-year-old as it is taken in over 140 countries and taught by over 4500 schools worldwide. BIS Hanoi has offered IGCSE to their students since 2014 and this is a natural continuation of the curriculum taught at the school.

The IGCSE curriculum at BIS Hanoi offers a broad, balanced curriculum that features a diverse selection of subjects including English, Maths, Science, ICT, History, Geography, Business Studies, Art & Design, Music, Drama and Physical Education. This broad selection of subjects can serve the academic interest of students as well as prepare them for the next step of their education journey.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) prepares your child to study at leading universities worldwide, and we are one of the few schools in Hanoi to offer this renowned programme.

IBDP Results 2023

We are very proud of our students achievements in this rigorous qualification. In 2023, along with a perfect 100% pass rate, our students achieved 35 points on average, significantly ahead of the global average of 30.2 points. One in five in the cohort received 40 points or more and one student achieved the perfect score of 45 points.

About the IB Diploma Programme

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, commonly referred to as the IBDP, is a two-year education program for students aged 16-19. The program is a widely accepted and recognized qualification for entry into higher education and universities worldwide.

The IB teaching programme at BIS Hanoi shapes students who excel academically, creatively and as lateral thinkers. This excellence is inspired by the incredibly thorough and varied programme of subjects on offer. Under the guidance of our experienced IB specialised teachers, students study a considered combination of both academic and creative subjects. Armed with the IB qualification, the majority of our students get offered a place at their first choice university and a high proportion of these places are at universities ranked in the world’s top 100.
