Welcoming Frances Morton, Our Interim Vice Principal

At Nord Anglia International School Dublin, our community is built on a simple but powerful belief: every student deserves to be known, supported, challenged, and encouraged to become the very best version of themselves.

That belief is at the heart of the leadership Frances Morton brings to NAIS Dublin as our new Interim Vice Principal and leading our Secondary School.

Frances joins us from Northbridge International School Cambodia, a Nord Anglia Education school, where she served as Principal for the past five years, having previously been Leader of Secondary. As Principal of an IB Continuum School, she brings extensive experience of leading high-quality teaching and learning across both Primary and Secondary education.

With 32 years in education, Frances has worked in a variety of roles and countries, progressing from classroom teacher to whole-school principal. Throughout her career, one constant has remained: a deep commitment to improving educational outcomes and helping every learner reach their full potential.

For Frances, education is about much more than academic achievement alone.

“Education has the power to open opportunities, build confidence, and transform futures,” she says. She is especially passionate about supporting students as they grow academically and personally, discover their strengths, and begin to understand what they are capable of achieving.

This outlook will be especially valuable in our Secondary School, where students are developing greater independence, preparing for future pathways, and learning how to navigate challenge with confidence. Frances’ approach is warm, ambitious, and deeply student-centred: she believes young people thrive when they feel understood, encouraged, and supported by the adults around them.

One of Frances’ most memorable moments as an educator was seeing a student who had struggled with confidence during the IBDP gradually begin to believe in herself. With consistent support and encouragement from her teachers, the student not only completed her IBDP, but went on to pursue her dream career. For Frances, moments like these are a powerful reminder of why schools matter so deeply.

They also reflect what we value at NAIS Dublin: a learning environment where students are encouraged to grow, where teachers make a meaningful difference, and where families feel part of a shared journey.

Frances also speaks with great appreciation for the educators who inspired her own path. She remembers teachers who created supportive learning environments, believed in their students, and showed how education can change lives. Their dedication and care motivated her to follow a similar path - making a positive difference not only for students, but for the families who place their trust in a school.

As part of the Nord Anglia Education family, Frances also brings valuable international perspective and a strong understanding of the opportunities and expectations of globally minded education. Her experience within a Nord Anglia school community will help support continuity, ambition, and collaboration as she joins NAIS Dublin.
