NAIS Pudong Scholarships
The start of the year has already been incredibly successful for our Parents & Community Association (PCA), with two great events igniting our events calendar last week.
We supported the PCA with their inaugural ‘movie night’ on Friday, with a cinema-style viewing of Paddington: The Movie, and were joined by a variety of our students and parents in the theatre. Families enjoyed popcorn, drinks, and other snacks while they enjoyed the movie on the new LED screen which was installed earlier this year. All proceeds from ticket and refreshments sales help to go towards the wonderful charities our PCA support across the year, so thank you to everyone who supported the event. Watch this space for information of the next movie night soon.
Following hot on the heels of our movie night, on Saturday morning the PCA arranged a Welcome Back Picnic on campus, helping new and returning families to meet each other, enjoy food/drinks, activities, music, and games. Although the weather was quite warm, it was wonderful to see those who came along, especially the children who played together and enjoyed the day. A special thanks to Santa Fe Relocation who sponsored the event and provided a bouncy castle for our students to use.
These two events are the first in a series of PCA-led events, the next of which is our Staff Appreciation Day on 10th September. The first major NAIS Pudong community event – Bonfire Night and Diwali Celebrations - is also available for advance ticket sales now and will take place on Sunday 3rd November. Last year was a great success and we hope to see you all there this year too. Again, we’ll provide more detailed information about the event over the coming weeks.
Last Sunday, NAIS Pudong had a Spring Fling filled with laughter and joy! International families from Shanghai gathered on campus and had a wonderful family day with their children and parents on a sunny spring day.
Football season this year was fantastic! This was the first U19 girls team we’ve had in many years, and I’m in complete admiration of many girls in our team giving the sport a go for the first time, bringing football back to life for us!
This week, our school was thrilled to welcome specialist educators from the world-renowned Juilliard School for an inspiring series of dance and drama sessions with both our teachers and students!
From 11 to 13 March 2025, a group of our creative students had the incredible opportunity to participate in a the NAE Regional Performing Arts Festival in Shanghai alongside 11 Nord Anglia schools from across China! With over 475 young artists immersing themselves in drama, dance, music, puppetry, short film making, physical theatre, and more, the festival was a true celebration of creativity and collaboration.
