NAIS Pudong Scholarships
On the 10th of Jan, under the theme of Unity & Belonging, 5 NAIS Pudong students took part in the TEDx youth event at our sister school at BSB Shunyi. This provided a wonderful opportunity for our students to demonstrate their own creative thinking and confidence in public speaking in front of a live audience which at some point reached nearly 20,000 viewers accessing the live feed.
Each student spoke with passion, fluency and with the confidence of a professional speaker. Their talks all reflected a personal aspect of their own lives such as moments; people or passions that have shaped their lives. These talks from the heart were deep; meaningful and showed a level of maturity above their age.
The students (listed below) should feel incredibly proud of their performance. Each student has their own story and it was wonderful to see them express this in such as confident manner. We as a school strive to develop our students confidence every day and it was fantastic to see on the stage the impact that this can have.

At Nord Anglia International School Shanghai, Pudong (NAIS), we believe firmly that every child has the potential to become a confident communicator and writer. Across Early Years and Primary, and leading into our Key Stage 3 transition, we utilise the Talk for Writing approach to accelerate our students’ progress in reading and writing and, crucially, in their speaking and listening.
Last Sunday, NAIS Pudong had a Spring Fling filled with laughter and joy! International families from Shanghai gathered on campus and had a wonderful family day with their children and parents on a sunny spring day.
Football season this year was fantastic! This was the first U19 girls team we’ve had in many years, and I’m in complete admiration of many girls in our team giving the sport a go for the first time, bringing football back to life for us!
