NAIS Pudong Scholarships
This year’s International Week at NAIS Pudong was a vibrant celebration of cultures from around the world, uniting students and staff in an exciting exploration of global traditions. Through interactive activities, cultural exchanges, and creative projects, our school community came together to embrace the rich diversity that makes NAIS pudong so special.
From tasting international cuisines to learning about unique customs, students immersed themselves in hands-on experiences that broadened their perspectives. Each year group contributed in their own way:
Year 7 showcased their creativity by designing colorful piñatas, blending art with cultural traditions. Year 8 turned sustainability into music, crafting musical instruments from recycled materials and performing world rhythms. Year 9 experienced the beauty of sand mandalas and henna art, discovering the intricate artistry behind these cultural practices. Year 10 stepped into the world of sports, trying their hand at sepaktakraw, a dynamic Southeast Asian game. Year 12 brought flavors from across the globe to our tables, preparing and sharing international breakfasts.
The highlight of International Week was undoubtedly last Friday’s International Food Festival, organized by our incredible Parent Community Association (PCA)! The event brought together an irresistible spread of traditional dishes from around the world, turning the campus into a bustling global marketplace. Take a look at the lively scenes from the festival—it was an unforgettable feast for the senses!
Beyond the activities, International Week was a meaningful opportunity to appreciate the diverse backgrounds within our school and recognize how these connections make our community stronger. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, organized, and contributed to making this week so memorable. Let’s continue to celebrate and learn from each other—not just this week, but every day!
The thrill of competition, the roar of the crowd, and the spirit of international camaraderie—our U11 athletes recently returned from the Nord Anglia International Schools Multi-Sports Event in Chengdu, and what an adventure it was!
This year’s senior drama production was not just a show — it was an experience. As parents and guests arrived at NAIS Pudong, they weren’t ushered into a theatre right away. Instead, they stepped into a 1920s speakeasy, complete with vintage jazz, decorations, and guests mingling in costume. It was the perfect prelude to what would become one of the most immersive performances we’ve ever staged.
Last Sunday, NAIS Pudong had a Spring Fling filled with laughter and joy! International families from Shanghai gathered on campus and had a wonderful family day with their children and parents on a sunny spring day.
Football season this year was fantastic! This was the first U19 girls team we’ve had in many years, and I’m in complete admiration of many girls in our team giving the sport a go for the first time, bringing football back to life for us!
