From first-time competitors to medal winners, our students delivered an unforgettable performance of resilience, teamwork, and Tiger pride.
From the moment our students left NAIS Pudong before sunrise, this year’s FOBISIA U13 Friendly Games in Thailand promised to be something special.
What followed was more than a competition—it was a powerful demonstration of courage, teamwork, and the spirit that defines our school.
Travelling to Pattana Sports Resort in 35-degree heat and relentless humidity, our 25 students from Years 7 and 8 embraced every challenge with determination and positivity. Competing against larger, more established schools, they proved that at NAIS Pudong, it’s not size that defines success—but heart.
Rising to the Challenge
The games began with athletics and swimming under intense tropical conditions. Long-distance races tested endurance, while field events demanded focus and strength.
Despite the challenges, our students delivered outstanding performances:
🥇 Boxun – Gold (Shot Put), Silver (Long Jump & 100m)
🥈 Kei – Silver (1500m)
🥉 Hannah – Bronze (Long Jump & 100m)
🥉 Sunny, Aoya, Langlang – Podium finishes across events
In the pool, our swimmers truly excelled—many competing for the very first time:
🏅 Boxun – 4 Gold, 1 Silver
🏅 Ivy – 2 Silver, 2 Bronze
🏅 Hannah – Full medal set
🏅 Medley Relay Team – Silver
Beyond the medals, what stood out most was the team spirit. Students stepped into unfamiliar events, supported one another, and prioritised collective success over individual recognition.

Team Spirit in Action
Day two brought football under the hottest conditions of the week. With resilience and grit:
- Our girls’ team secured 4th place, narrowly missing the podium
- Our boys’ team fought fiercely, losing by the smallest margin to a local Thai school
By day three, fatigue had set in—but not defeat. In basketball, our students faced strong regional opponents with determination and courage.
As one coach reflected: “They fought hard and showed their best. That’s what matters.”
More Than a Competition
While results were impressive, the true success of the trip went far beyond medals.
Students:
- Competed against peers from across Asia
- Built friendships across cultures
- Discovered new strengths and resilience
- Represented NAIS Pudong with pride and integrity

As one parent shared:“It was inspiring to see students overcome challenges, support each other, and grow through every moment. This is only the beginning for NAIS.”
A Global Education in Action
Experiences like FOBISIA are a powerful reflection of what makes NAIS Pudong unique.
As part of the Nord Anglia Education family, our students benefit from:
International competitions and global experiences
A strong focus on holistic development
Opportunities to build confidence beyond the classroom
This is how we prepare students not just for exams—but for life.

A Proud Moment for Our Community
From early morning departures to the final celebrations, this journey was made possible by the dedication of our staff, the trust of our parents, and the courage of our students.
To our Tigers:
You stepped outside your comfort zones, supported each other, and created memories that will last a lifetime.
Small school. Big heart. Always.
