The Juilliard School

Every parent wants the best for their child — and so do we. We're ambitious for our students and staff. We work with the world’s leading performing arts organisation to give them outstanding experiences in the performing arts.

Founded in 1905, The Juilliard School is a world leader in performing arts education. Juilliard’s mission is to provide the highest calibre of artistic education for gifted musicians, dancers, and actors from around the world. We believe Juilliard’s world-class education in all three core areas of the performing arts – which we teach in an integrated fashion – gives our students incredible learning experiences. Our collaboration with Juilliard also enhances our teachers with high-level professional training and personal development opportunities.

Delivering an excellent performing arts education with Juilliard

We'll enhance your child’s lessons in the performing arts using a repertoire of core music, dance, and drama works that encompass a wide range of genres, styles, and cultures – all designed and hand-selected by Juilliard. Our teachers use Juilliard Creative Classroom, an extraordinary online collection of educational resources that have been designed to enhance and supplement our performing arts curriculum. Juilliard-designed teaching materials, creative activities, historical information, rehearsal strategies, and professional development resources all lead students through explorations of important works of music, dance, and drama. Students discover how to build their personal artistry through their own creativity.

Along with our enhanced curriculum, our students and teachers also benefit from:

Visits and inspirational performances from Juilliard artists and curriculum specialists

Juilliard curriculum specialists and artists visit our school to bring excellence into the classroom. They ignite a love of the arts in our students. Their expertise, combined with our exceptional teachers, will have a positive impact on your child’s experience and connection to the performing arts.

Professional development

Our performing arts teachers have many opportunities for professional development. These include in-person sessions with Juilliard curriculum specialists and workshops designed and led by Juilliard experts, regionally and at Juilliard in New York City. This ensures that the level of teaching at our school remains at the highest standard, while energising and encouraging your child to build and pursue a love for the performing arts.

Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard

Summer Performing Arts with Juilliard is an immersive experience in music, dance, and drama for the summer, when our students can make powerful connections with like-minded peers from across the world. Our students become inspired to explore their creative talent during unique programmes designed by Juilliard and taught by Juilliard faculty. Nord Anglia offers three incredible performing arts summer programmes in Geneva, Florida, and Shanghai.
