Participating in the performing arts encourages every child's creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Music, dance, and drama also create opportunities for innovative thinking and the creative use of technologies.
The Juilliard School
We're delighted to work in collaboration with The Juilliard School (Juilliard), a world leader in the performing arts. Our unique programme has been designed with Juilliard to enhance our students’ understanding and appreciation of the arts, whilst fostering valuable life skills.
Our specialist music teacher is exclusively trained by Juilliard, and will inspire you child to take part in the Southeast Asia performing arts festival with their friends and other students from across Indonesia.
Music
Our students have weekly lessons, where they study composers, genres, and a variety of traditional and popular instruments, like the ukulele and guitar. They also learn to sing. Students can also take music lessons through our extracurricular activities programme.
Our innovative music curriculum has been designed in collaboration with Juilliard. It has been shaped to enhance learning through a repertoire of great works of art and teaching important keyboard skills, as an entry point into music theory.
Dance and drama
Our students shine on stage through our regular talent shows, performance assemblies, and annual drama productions – all performed here at NAS Jakarta on our main hall stage or in our more intimate theatre room.
Our Juilliard collaboration expands our dance and drama curricula, allowing students to learn about influential works of art, including their history, culture, and related theory.
