Three of our Grade 11 Students are currently running an ambitious project called Library4Kids Cambodia.  A non-profit, non-governmental organization that works towards providing more educational opportunities to students who do not have access to books in a library setting.

Our goal is to tackle the subject of low literacy levels in less fortunate schools in rural Cambodia.  We are committed to providing students with a clean and friendly environment, different book genres in an accesible location.  Library4Kids have connected with a primary school in Kandal Province, catering for students aged between 5 and 12.  They have granted us permission to build a library on their campus.  It takes approximately 1 and a half hours to to travel to the school.  The school has 186 students, 7 classrooms, 3 of which are damaged.  With the installation of a library, the schools facilities would be vastly improved as we strive to provide a more suitable learning environment for the young children.  We are seeking sponsors to help renovate classrooms, build the new library.  Sponsorship would also help to provide new shelves, books, tables, chairs and a new roof.  For further sponsorship information please visit www.lib4kids.org
