BISS Lions Singapore Tour

05 december 2013

Good luck to BISS Lions Secondary Squad Rugby team as they tour Singapore. On Thursday 5 December the BISS Lions Secondary Squad under the coaching staff of Tony Halalilo and Samuel Thorley depart for Singapore for two games against the top two rugby schools.

Pictured above: The boys from the Lions Rugby Squad give a training session to our up and coming rugby stars at the Under 11 Rugby Open Day.

The 22 strong man squad have conquered all there is to conquer in Shanghai winning both the SISSAC under 17 competition, and the ACAMIS under 19 competition.  The boys have trained and worked very hard throughout the season training on Monday’s, Wednesday’s after school and fitness sessions on Thursday mornings.

The product of this hard work paid off with both teams beating BISS Pudong in the SISSAC final by 20 points and once again BISS Pudong in the ACAMIS final winning by 36 points to nil, defining evidence of the calibre of rugby produced by the BISS Puxi Lions.  Their next challenge is one ten aside match up against UWC and one 15 aside match up against Tanglin International School in Singapore.

We are well prepared and are looking forward to Singapore and the heat.  Go BISS Lions!
