BISS Puxi Students to Compete in British Mathematical Olympiad

26 november 2015

The first round of the British Mathematical Olympiad takes place this Friday. Entry into the competition is by invitation only to students who have achieved outstanding scores in the Senior Mathematical Challenge (aimed at Years 12 and 13).

In previous years we have had four students take part, but this year we have an unprecedented number of students involved and we are very confident that they will do very well indeed!

It’s a stipulation that all entrants complete the 3.5 hour challenge at the same time regardless where they might be in the world so our students will be starting at 3:40pm and ending at 7:10pm.

Our good wishes go to Year 13 students: Yuri Lee, Sung Joon Kim, Jiangsoek Hyun, Seowon Yang, Hyun Jin Kim and Year 12 student Kelly Kim.

Martin Brown, Head of Mathematics
