Sports Report: Key Stage 3 Sports Day and CISSA Tennis

09 juni 2015

Last Friday students in Years 7, 8 and 9 competed in the annual Key Stage 3 Sports Day.

Cheered on by their peers, staff and parents, there was a brilliant blur of colours as all houses set off to compete. Students took part in a multitude of exciting experiences, ranging from the competitive track and field events, to fun activities like the tug of war and skipping.

All points earned across the morning went towards the house teams’ scores and there was fierce competition between the houses. Congratulations to our overall winners Chang Cheng House!

Then on Saturday, we hosted in excess of 100 tennis players in the inaugural CISSA middle school cross river event, where teams from all over Shanghai and Suzhou played non-competitive matches.

The BISS Lions were represented by Anthony Dinh and Kai Emanuele Richelmy. They performed to a very high standard in this new event and pushed many of the city’s top tennis players to their limits. Overall the day was a roaring success with all players getting plenty of court time and enjoying making new friends from different schools in the process.  We look forward to hosting this event again next year.
