Pottery ECA

27 september 2017

Starting from September 12,  the students have been exploring Chinese Culture by researching the traditional art and creating their own pottery artpieces in our local partner Jiwang School. All the students are enjoying themselves very much.

“Pottery ECA is extremely fun and I’ve learned so much about how to make bowls, plates and cups. We also learned about how ancient Chinese craftsmen made intricate sculptures out of clay. It is difficult but after a lot of practice it gets easier to do”

Alison, Year 8 Student

In pottery ECA, we have been making things like bowls, cases and cups on a spin wheel. We had company by the students who go to that school. We had so much fun making pottery and it has been a great experience.

Alma, Year 8 Student

“I really like the pottery ECA. We can be creative and make whatever we want on the spinning wheel. I also enjoy how we get to work with the local school and we get to collaborate with them while creating a beautiful piece of artwork, I really like the ECA all together and I have a really fun time participating in it.”

Catrin Jones, Year 8 Student
