This week the children will be starting a unit on play scripts. They will begin by reading different play scripts, identifying the features, and then practicing using expression and inotation to bring the parts alive.

The children will be doing their final unit on data handling. They will be presented with a problem to solve, which will require them to create tables and then present their findings in a bar chart and pictogram. They will  use this information to then pose one-step and two-step questions such as ‘How many more?’ and ‘How many fewer?’

This week the children will be linking their Themed Learning to Literacy. They will begin by designing a brand new chocolate bar for Willy Wonka’s expanding factory, including its wrapper. As part of this project they will then be challenged to use descriptive and persuasive language to create digital posters and videoed TV commericlas to advertise their new chocolate bar.

The children will be working in teams this week, sharing ideas and listening to others points of view.
