We would like to wish everyone an enjoyable summer and look forward to welcoming you back for the new academic year on 22 August 2016. For those of you who are moving on, we wish you all the best in the future and good luck with your relocation plans.
  • We are currently setting up a OneDrive account with a selection of photographs from the Year 5 Residential trip to Nanbeihu. This should be accessible to parents by next week. Details of the online log in and password will be sent this week via your child’s home school communication book.
  • No BISCAP/BISS Lions Swimming/ECAs this week.
  • On Wednesday 29 June from 2pm- 3:30pm we will have the Year 5 End of Year party. Parents are welcome to join this event to help the teachers with games and also to say farewells at 3pm.

This week the children will be taking part in an exciting challenge. They will be creating a stop motion animation to tell a story that they are interested and passionate about. The topics range from global warming to animal cruelty. In Literacy the children will need to research the topic and build up arguments about why this is an important issue. The children will write a story plan to plan out their message and will then record it using a series of stop motion animation clips.

The children will be using their research skills and will use creative elements to explain their issue. The children will share their video creations at the end of the week. They will require to draw on a variety of problem solving skills and group work skills in order to complete the project. Collaboration and cooperation will also be important for the success of the project.

We ronden het thema ‘Echte Superhelden’af. Aan het einde van de week bent u welkom om de 3D-tentoonstelling te komen bezichtigen in en rond lokaal P232.
